Change or replace a photo background
Separate the subject from the background with on-device AI, then drop in a solid colour, a gradient or your own image behind it. Handy for product photos, profile pictures and ID photos. Your photo stays on your device throughout.
How to use it
- Open the editor and add your photo.
- Go to the Remove BG tab and click Remove Background to isolate the subject.
- Choose a solid colour, gradient or image background from the Background options and adjust to taste.
- Export as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. EditXo runs entirely inside your browser using your own device. Your images are never uploaded, transmitted or stored by us, so there is nothing for anyone to intercept or leak.
Can I use my own image as the new background?
Yes. After removing the original background, pick an image background and choose a file from your device.
Is EditXo free? Do I need an account?
EditXo is free to use and there is no account to create. Open the editor, drop in a photo and start editing.
