EditXo is a photo editor that runs right inside your web browser, and we’re the team behind it. This page is a plain explanation of what we collect and what we don’t. Here’s the part that matters most, in one sentence: your photos never leave your device.
Most online editors quietly upload your pictures to their own servers. EditXo doesn’t. Everything you do here, right down to AI background removal, happens inside your own browser using your device. Because no image is ever sent anywhere, there is simply nothing for anyone to intercept, leak or hold onto. We built it this way on purpose. With data breaches in the news almost every week, we think the safest design is also the simplest one: your photos just stay with you.
1. Your images are processed on your device
When you edit a photo in EditXo, every step happens locally in your browser using your own processor and graphics card. That includes adjustments, filters, beauty tools, AI background removal and exporting your final image. We never upload, transmit or store your pictures, and we have no way to see them. There is no account to create, and nothing about your image reaches a server.
2. What we keep on your device
To make your life easier, EditXo can save your work in progress and your settings in your browser’s own storage (for example, IndexedDB). All of that stays on your device and is never sent to us. If you clear your browser data, it is gone for good.
3. The little we do collect
There are only a few things we ever receive, and none of them include your photos:
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact or feedback form, we get the name, email and message you choose to share, so that we can read it and reply.
- Crash reports. If the app hits an unexpected error, we may receive technical details about it, such as the error message, the page you were on, your browser type and the time it happened. These reports never contain your images.
- Standard hosting logs. Our hosting provider may handle ordinary request information, such as your IP address, to keep the site running and secure, as set out in their own policy.
4. The services we rely on
We use a small number of trusted services to keep EditXo online. A hosting provider serves the app to you, and an email service delivers the confirmations and notifications tied to the contact and feedback forms. They only ever handle the limited information described above. Your photos are never part of it.
5. Cookies and tracking
We don’t use advertising cookies or third party trackers. Any storage we do use is purely functional, and it is there to remember your work and your preferences on your own device.
6. Keeping your data, and your choices
We hold on to your messages and any crash reports only for as long as we need them to help you and fix problems. If you have written to us and you’d like a copy of what you sent, or you want it deleted, just let us know using the form below.
7. Children
EditXo isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top so you can always see when it last moved.
